Influenc<\/span><span lang=\"FR\">\u00e9 par Seurat, l&rsquo;art russe avant-garde des ann\u00e9es 1900 et plusieurs architectes (il envisageait<\/span> <span lang=\"EN-US\">d&rsquo;<\/span><span lang=\"FR\">\u00e9tudier l&rsquo;architecture), il a d\u00e9couvert <\/span><span lang=\"EN-US\">s<\/span><span lang=\"FR\">on propre style n\u00e9<\/span><span lang=\"EN-US\">o-pointilliste en 2003\/2004<\/span><span lang=\"FR\">, qu&rsquo;il a d\u00e9velopp\u00e9 au cours des ann\u00e9es suivantes.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p class=\"Standaard\"><span lang=\"EN-US\">De pr<\/span><span lang=\"FR\">\u00e8s, les peintures de Rain sont constitu\u00e9es de petits pois <\/span><span lang=\"EN-US\">concentriques, se terminant par un bout pointu et<\/span><span lang=\"FR\"> peints avec diff\u00e9rentes couleurs de peinture acrylique. L&rsquo;\u0153il du spectateur <\/span><span lang=\"EN-US\">combin<\/span><span lang=\"FR\">e ces couleurs pour n&rsquo;en faire qu&rsquo;une. Le sujet de la peinture n&rsquo;est r\u00e9<\/span><span lang=\"EN-US\">v<\/span><span lang=\"FR\">\u00e9<\/span><span lang=\"EN-US\">l<\/span><span lang=\"FR\">\u00e9 qu&rsquo;une fois le spectateur a pris un peu de recul. Plus il s&rsquo;\u00e9loigne, plus le portrait devient clair.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p class=\"Standaard\"><span lang=\"FR\">Gavin esquisse d&rsquo;abord le portrait qu&rsquo;il veut peindre ou<\/span><span lang=\"EN-US\"> il<\/span><span lang=\"FR\"> utilise l&rsquo;image d&rsquo;une photo. <\/span><span lang=\"EN-US\">Souvent, i<\/span><span lang=\"FR\">l utilis<\/span><span lang=\"EN-US\">e<\/span><span lang=\"FR\"> une projection ou une <\/span><span lang=\"EN-US\">matrice<\/span><span lang=\"FR\"> (plus pr\u00e9cise) pour d\u00e9<\/span><span lang=\"DA\">cider o<\/span><span lang=\"IT\">\u00f9 <\/span><span lang=\"FR\">placer ses pois. Il dessine des cercles \u00e0 l&rsquo;aide de pochoirs. Pour d\u00e9terminer la couleur finale d&rsquo;un poi<\/span><span lang=\"EN-US\">s<\/span><span lang=\"FR\">, Rain consulte une liste de 14 000 pois diff\u00e9rents qu&rsquo;il a <\/span><span lang=\"EN-US\">un jour r<\/span><span lang=\"FR\">\u00e9<\/span><span lang=\"EN-US\">alis<\/span><span lang=\"FR\">\u00e9<\/span><span lang=\"PT\">s. D<\/span><span lang=\"EN-US\">e<\/span><span lang=\"FR\"> cette liste, il choisit la combinaison qui cr\u00e9e la couleur exacte qu&rsquo;il souhaite. La diff\u00e9rence de taille de chaque poi<\/span><span lang=\"EN-US\">s<\/span><span lang=\"FR\">est caract\u00e9ristique de sa technique. Plus les points sont gros, plus la zone<\/span><span lang=\"EN-US\"> autour devient<\/span><span lang=\"FR\">fonc\u00e9e et plus les poi<\/span><span lang=\"EN-US\">s<\/span><span lang=\"FR\"> sont petits, plus elle est claire. Les couleurs des diff\u00e9rents pois se fondent \u00e9galement en une nouvelle couleur. Pour<\/span><span lang=\"EN-US\"> cr\u00e9er de<\/span><span lang=\"FR\"> l&rsquo;ombre, les points deviennent plus petits et les couleurs combin\u00e9es deviennent plus claires. C&rsquo;est ainsi que son image est cr\u00e9\u00e9<\/span><span lang=\"IT\">e.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p class=\"Standaard\"><span lang=\"FR\">En 2011, il a particip\u00e9 \u00e0 <\/span><span lang=\"EN-US\">la 54\u00e8m<\/span><span lang=\"FR\">e Biennale de Venise pour le Costa Rica; en 2013, il \u00e9tait pr\u00e9sent dans le pavillon du Bangladesh.
